Established by the British Council in 1944, the Junior School provides British-style education for expats and local children. It is a not-for-profit organization aiming for excellent, innovative, creative education and a balanced learning experience.
Alongside teaching, there is a focus on child protection (guarding the children from harm) and pastoral care for progress and personal development. Classes are small, and a bus door-to-door service is available. There are many extra-curricular activities such as sports, excursions and visits locally and abroad.
The school also has an Alumni establishment rooted in the school's long history.
