Property for sale in Cyprus with title deeds

Cyprus title deeds are a series of legal documents which record land and property ownership.
In Cyprus, the title deed is essential for any real estate transaction as proof of property ownership. It is required for various processes, including selling the property, securing a mortgage, or even legal matters. For example, if you're buying a house in Cyprus, you must ensure the seller provides you with the title deed to confirm their ownership and eventually transfer it to your name.

Property is transferred in person or by proxy (usually your lawyer) at the district offices of the Department of Lands and Surveys. You will need identification, the contract of sale and title deeds (if it is a resale). Moreover, you will fill in a declaration of transfer form (form N 270, from the Department of Lands and Surveys) and a form stating that all taxes have been paid (form N 313, found on the website of the Tax Department).

Title deeds are official documents issued by the Cyprus Republic that contain all the details concerning a property. They are formal and have a government seal.
